We Buy and Sell Cards!

Whether you're a collector or a player, you'll probably be searching for specific cards or looking to offload stuff you just don't have a use for. We assess value according to TCGPlayer Market Price and upload regular batches to our TCG Store. All cards, including tokens and other cardboard rectangles, in person and online, do have a minimum sale price to cover labor.

Okay, I want to trade-in my cards!

Awesome! We are currently accepting Magic: the Gathering, Pokémon, and Flesh and Blood trade-ins. We do not accept cards from new set releases until after they have circulated the market for two weeks. We will also not be accepting Flesh and Blood bulk.

If you have a large number of valuables like a full binder(s) or many boxes, please allow up to one week for us to process your cards. We will receive your contact information and keep you updated on your collection. We'll give you a quote as soon as possible. Store Credit can be used on anything at Cantrip, from snacks and retail products, to singles and event entries. Cash offers are limited on a case-by-case basis.

1000 cards measurement

Got tons of unsorted Magic or Pokémon bulk? Let's measure it! 12.5 inches is about 1000 cards, and we'll offer you $5 store credit in exchange.

Conditioning Your Cards

Condition matters! Typically as the condition worsens, so does the value of the card. Taking good care of cards by using sleeves, toploaders, and binders will keep your collection safe and provide more value in a trade.

Near Mint (NM)
NM Card Example

Near Mint condition cards show minimal or no wear from play or handling and will have an unmarked surface, crisp corners, and otherwise pristine edges outside of minimal handling. Near Mint condition cards appear 'fresh out of the pack,' with edges and surfaces virtually free from all flaws.

Lightly Played (LP)
LP Card Example

Lightly Played condition cards can have slight border or corner wear, or possibly minor scratches. No major defects are present, and there are less than 4 total flaws on the card. Lightly Played condition foils may have slight fading or indications of wear on the card face.

Moderately Played (MP)
MP Card Example

Moderately Played condition cards have moderate wear, or flaws apparent to the naked eye. Moderately Played condition cards can show moderate border wear, mild corner wear, water damage, scratches, creases or fading, light dirt buildup, or any combination of these defects.

Heavily Played (HP)
HP Card Example

Heavily Played condition cards exhibit signs of heavy wear. Heavily Played condition cards may include cards that have significant creasing, folding, severe water damage, heavy whitening, heavy border wear, and/or tearing.

Damaged (DMG)
Damaged Card Example

Damaged condition cards show obvious tears, bends, or creases that could make the card illegal for tournament play, even when sleeved. Damaged condition cards have massive border wear, possible writing or major inking (ex. white-bordered cards with black-markered front borders), massive corner wear, prevalent scratching, folds, creases or tears. We generally do not accept damaged cards unless they have a high value or are requested for special projects.
